office love

dear office fans,

so what did we all think of the office wedding last night? i am so excited that after all these years, jim and pam finally got married!!! but i feel like this episode was a little gimicky.

like kevin, and his tissue box shoes......um, are there no stores nearby that he could buy another pair of shoes? dwight giving jim and pam turtles, that of course escape and michael giving them that really bad painting. and all of these things were very funny, but who really does that???

i loved that michael decorated his car with cans and "going to a wedding", classic michael. and love even more that the tin cans he tied to his car, were still full.

i did enjoy the chris brown dance down the aisle (got sent that frickin video like 5 times) it was fun seeing oscar and kevin, ryan and kelly and of course phyllis and bob vance.

overall, i really liked this episode and i really LOVE that it was an hour long. but is it just me, or is the tone of these recent episodes been different? like someone else is writing them? whoever wrote them the last 2 seasons, can't they come back??

what happens in niagra, stays in niagra,

p.s. what did you think of the office last night?

I agree, it does seem different....I watch reruns on TBS and old episodes just seem funnier. I love Jim & Pam and seeing the wedding, but the show doesn't seem as funny as it was. I miss Jim picking on Dwight!

My DVR didn't record it! I plan to watch it online tonight.

I think I left a comment on your blog recently saying I've been dsiappointed this season. Not as funny, and Jim has been an ass. I'm glad the wedding episode has been good.

I haven't seen it yet. We always watch it on Hulu, so we usually watch it on Friday night.

Of all the seasons, I liked Season 2 the best.

Oh, I know! I think sometimes shows get REALLY popular and they think that A)they can afford to mix it up a little {with the writers and stuff}, or B)they just completely jump the shark because they think what they think is funny; everyone in America is gonna think is funny. And it ruins it.

you know, i stopped watching the office and when i picked it back up, so much had changed that i felt like i'd lost my place. so i haven't watched it much recently and didn't see the wedding... but kinda wish i would have.

I'm with you. It all just seemed too silly. Who runs off during their wedding? Who would let the office people come to their rehearsal dinner? And oooh, if my husband cut his tie like that I would smack him silly. With all of this said, I laughed my butt off because it was all funny. Damn you Office!

I absolutely LOVED IT! Gave it 5 stars on Hulu. The shoes were a little over the top but I loved Kevin falling at the end while dancing :) I laughed out loud several times :) I may be biased though...

I didn't like the Chris Brown dance. Thought it was cheesy to rip off a YouTube viral video. Couldn't they have come up with a better way to destroy the wedding?

Other than that, it was beautiful. Jim made me cry! I think every woman deserves to be loved like that in her lifetime.

we thought it was funny.... i sent nenny the chris brown video and asked her if we could do that at her weddign someday.

she answered something that sounded a bit rougher than no.

lol

so i thought it was funny when they did it.
BUT THE BEST PART.. when he KICKED HER.

lmao i died.
and when he cut off his tie.
i loved it.

more importantly. I watched YEAR ONE this weekend. Did you see???

I was excited for weeks about this!! I agree with u about the writing-it's like they have some new guy who keeps sprinkling in the "not so believable" jokes. I know B.J. Novak has been a writer forever, but I dunno who else is involved in it--maybe he's letting his girlfriend write jokes or something...let's hope they break up if that's what's up! :)
