people always have tons of questions for me when they find out i'm vegan. this is one of my favorites: "what do you call someone who is vegetarian but still eats fish?".
first off, what am i the motherf*cking dictionary? why do you assume i have all the answers to your vegan related mysteries? secondly, i do have the answer. but you shouldn't assume that i do, meat eater!a person who eats fish isn't a vegetarian, and i'm sick and effing tired of them thinking they are! they are just a person who eats fish. period. they're not special. and they sure as h*ll aren't in the same league as vegetarians and vegans. (ya, i'm pretentious. what are you going to do about it?)
i guess it stems from the whole, catholics can't eat meat on good friday, but can still eat fish, cause in their eyes fish aren't meat. right. that makes perfect sense. cause, you know, fish don't have hearts, or brains, or feel pain. any one who claims they can still eat fish and be considered a vegetarian is an a**hole and i will punch them in the throat. (i'm looking at you mary tyler moore. your throat is mine).

THANK YOU!
totally 100% AGREE!!!
it has ALWAYS bothered me when people say they're veg but eat fish or worse fish AND chicken WTF! or eat chicken/beef or other broth or food cooked in the juices but they take out the meat part...UH, DUH?
So if they ask me what kind that is, I say they are pretend veg.
people actually do that? why am I even surprised?
btw, an award for you two at my place!
Boy I'm glad I didn't ask...LOL!
I'm all about the meat eating, but serious...if you eat meat of any kind...not a veg. I had not idea it was such a difficult concept for people to grasp.
the lobsters boiling the baby? hilarious! LOL is there something wrong with me??
I can't pretend to care. I'm all meat eater over here. Haha!
The lobsters boiling the baby is hilarious and disturbing.
We eat a lot of vegetarian meals, but we're not hardcore. Baby steps. I find myself calling my husband "mostly" a vegetarian.... but that doesn't make sense either, does it? He is inching closer and closer to being a full-on vegetarian, though. I'm on and off the wagon.
When you assume, you only make an ass out of u and me... ha. Stupid carnivores, oh wait... that's me. :)
I do my best to only eat grass-fed cows, which sort of makes me a supporter of vegetarianism, right?
Go big or go home! All in or all out. Who am I to judge? I eat steaks with relish. Sorry. Hope you still love me!
irst off, what am i the motherf*cking dictionary?
hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. LOVED it and laughed out loud. I went to a brunch once with my dbag neighbor who is a vegan...and ate an omelet. REALLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYY? There is a name for that kind of vegan too...NOT A VEGAN.
LOL, "motherf*ing dictionary".. hahahaha. That was hilarious! I was vegan for about 5 years when I dated another vegan few years ago. Then I caved after I started dating the love of my life now, and the diet went out the window to adapt to his diet. Oh well...
The first person I ever knew who was a vegetarian ate fish and chicken, so for the longest time I thought that a vegetarian just didn't eat red meat. I'd say someone who does that is just a non-red-meat-eater. Nothing more.
Oh yeah, my BIL eats chicken. But he's a vegetarian. What?! Chickens are plants??? Dumbass.

Really?! You live a lifestyle that according to estimates only 0.2%-0.9% of Americans live and you get all defensive when they try to understand you? This has juvenile thinking all over it.
Plus, you consider it bad to hurt fish and other animals but think nothing of 'punch[ing] [people] in the throat'. Methinks I see a small double standard :)
