random thoughts

dear LFV readers,

it is friday, i'm tired. it has been a long week, so to start off your weekend here are some random thoughts:

more often than not, when someone is telling me a story all i can
think about is that i can't wait for them to finish so that i can tell
my own story, that's not only better, but also more directly involves
me.

is it just me, or are 80% of the people in the "people you may know"
feature on facebook, are people that i do know, but i deliberately choose
not to be friends with?

there is a great need for a sarcasm font.

coloring in the same letter three times or more in a row on a Scantron
test is absolutely terrifying.

mapquest really needs to start their directions on #5. pretty sure i
know how to get out of my neighborhood.

just sayin'

p.s. what random thoughts do you have?

these are all good, and so true! My grandpa pops up on "People you may know". I choose not to add him because I don't want the pressure of making sure my FB is squeaky clean...makes me wonder though why he hasn't added me? Surely he's seen me in that box right?

I do NOT miss Scantrons.

I'm the same way about listening. It's something I try to work on...everything's not about me!

Sarcasm font...that would be incredibly helpful! A friend and I once designated a smiley on AIM to indicate sarcasm, which kept us both out of trouble!

The Mapquest one makes me laugh! I always read them anyway, if only to find out the names of the streets I always use are!

Yup, I think you should run the world. Things would make a lot more sense that way. Wonderful thoughts, and all so true. I ditto what Sarah said, are the people you may know deliberately not adding you as well?

Happy Friday Ms. Valentine! Yea, most of the FB suggestions are ones that I really don't want to keep popping up. And I'm just like you, I tend to think my stories will be better so I stand there like I'm listening but in my head I'm actually preparing to pounce at the opportunity to take over the conversation. Hope you have a fun weekend!

random thought: our grocery store needs more "cart boys" i had to park in the south 40 this morning because the parking lot was FULL of empty discarded shopping carts! Better yet, people could put them where they belong!! Novel Idea :)

have a super awesome weekend

So agree with all of the above. Especially the FB thing. Everytime I'm thinking, If I wanted to be friends with the snotty head cheerleader I'd have added her already FB.

Hahaha, I agree 100% w/ all of these : ) love the scantron one, funny how you can be so confident about your answers but when you notice a pattern like that you get freaked out.

I too am a conversation one upper. I suppose that is the reason we all have blogs. So noone can make us sit through their stupid.. loooooooonnnnng... stupid... stories.. uNLESS we want to . and no one interrupts ours.. and one ups US.
Random thought 1.. inspired by your post. :

Imagine if we ALL went to dinner together IRL.
WE'D have to bring a conch shell.. and no one could talk unless you were holding the conch shell. We'd all die a million deaths.. waiting to one up.

Random thought 2: Red and white together... is not a slimming color. It just screams; I LOOK LIKE CANDY.

Hahaha, I'm exactly the same way about stories. Sometimes other peoples' lives are just not as interesting as I'm suuure mine is! :P

I agree so much-especially with the Facebook suggestions. How do you turn that bugger off? For the last time, NOOOO I don't want to be friends with my ex or my socially awkward Science teacher!! ;-)

If there were a sarcasm font, I'm pretty sure I'd outuse it.

For my own random thought:

Why is it that whenever you're having a "hot day" where you look your very best, hair is working, skin is flawless, outfit looks great, you never see anyone you know. But when you run to the store in sweats, not showered, hair sticking out everywhere, you run into your ex and his hot girlfriend or that snotty bitch who always loos great in everything? Never fails!

ughhhhh i know what you mean about the story telling!! it's so annoying! and the sarcasm font... i'm pretty sure my entire blog would be written in it!

There definitely needs to be a sarcasm font.
