switching to team salvatore

dear vampire diaries,

i did it. i finally succumbed to the siren's song. it called to me and promised that if i followed it, i would find hot vampires and moody teens. the sirens don't lie.

i was hesitant to try this new vampire show. it seemed like a cheap knock off of twilight (turns out the books were written like 15 years ago. who knew?) and i mean come on, it airs on the CW. they are not exactly known for their high quality programming.

also, i didn't want a one mr. edward cullen to get jealous and think i was moving onto a newer (and certainly equally hot) vampire. why hello mr. salvatore. you're looking awfully hot with all your brooding and what not.

i was intrigued from the start, but i was had when she opened the door. he was there. i think i swooned.

i have kinda gotten used to stephenie meyers version of vampires, that i was kinda surprised when stefan gets thirsty, he's eyes go all red and veiny. it must be the fluorescents.

i am lovin' elena, and apparently it is possible for someone to portray a human girl, caught in a world of vampires, without incessantly blinking or constant stammering. (yeah, kstew, i'm looking at you) it got so frustrating watching bella, it's like "spit it out woman!"

and elena's annoying friend, caroline, is so much less obnoxious than bella's annoying friend, jessica.

it's boone! hot dang! he didn't die on the island!

um, yeah, you're my new favorite show!

Oh man, I wasn't sure about this until I saw Boone! Oh my heck, he's hawt. :)
I know, kstew looks like she's been shot in the face or stabbed in the gut every time anyone says anything to her.
"Bella, you just won the lottery!"
Cue the blinking, stuttering, bawling, painful look, "I'm going to say 'yay! i won the lottery!' but my face looks like I just took a shampoo bottle up the butt!!!

Ok, so my mom had been blathering on and on about it, saying that i just HAD to check it out, hot vampires, etc, etc. We both loved twilight and all things edward, so i decided to give it a go this weekend. And i have to say, I wasn't let down either. I was really diggin steffan, but was absolutely SMITTEN with the badboy brother (whatever his name is). I will be watching and lusting right along too, thank you. Glad we're on the same page on this one... :)

@alicia, you are so right! LOL i didn't notice it before.

@foxy, actually, i must admit, i also like damon more than stefan. that wicked smile he has.

stefan salvatore? its like she looked up the name in the "dictionary for cliche vampire names" LOL. i dig true bloods decision to go with names like bill and eric for their vamps.

I told you! The TV vamps are gorgeous - forget ugly Edward!

I'm a little over the dark hair girl caught in a world of vampires sstoryline. How about changing it up and going with a guy caught in a world of a female vampire?

@kristina- yeah, it seems to be a little overdone. i would totally watch a bunch of kick a** femme vamps vying for a human dude.

it's gold. solid gold!

I might have to try this show now :-)

Sounds interesting. Although people are saying it's NOTHING like the books.

I didn't record it because I thought it would be dumb. All I keep hearing is how awesome it is. Where can I watch it online? The CW doesn't typically put episodes on their website. I learned this the hard way last year with Smallville.

Speaking of Smallville, do either of you ladies watch it?
